Like many students, in my mind the new year starts in August, not January. So, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! **Throws confetti**

My sophomore year is about to begin. Next Thursday I move back on campus- I can’t wait!! I’m so excited to see how my roommate and I decorate our apartment. I’m excited to see all my friends again. I’m excited to be on campus again! I love my university!

In the light of this new year, I thought I would share my school year goals with y’all. Here we go…

Have you set your school year goals yet? Here is how one student plans on growing during her sophomore year of college.

School:

  • I want to make more As than Bs. Preferably all As, but life happens. So, if I earn an A in 3+ of my classes, I will feel successful.
  • I really don’t want to procrastinate doing my projects… like I usually do… This year I want to work harder at doing assignments before the week before they’re due so I can avoid stress.
  • Same goes for tests. I want to study before the night before the test.
  • Go to class. (It’s a nice goal to have… ;) )

Personal:

  • Join a workout class. I started going to Zumba last spring, and I LOVED it. I want to start going again this fall, and go consistently. Because free workout class. And because Zumba. Yes.
  • Learn how to cook. As I won’t have a meal plan, I think learning to cook will be an important skill to acquire. I recently discovered Healthy Liv, a college/food blog. I probably will be trying out a lot of Liv’s recipes this school year! They look so delicious!
  • Read more books. If possible. Finish rereading the Harry Potter series.
  • Work on my 20 before 20 list.

Relationships:

  • Keep up with my friendships that I made last year. And make new friends too! I already know a few freshman girls that are going to be coming to my university this fall, and I’m so excited to welcome them aboard to the best college ever!
  • Go on more coffee dates with my amigas.
  • Hang out with my brother more. You would think that since I attend a local university I would see him a lot, but l actually didn’t hang out with him that much last year. I want to change that.

Spiritual:

  • Join an on campus Bible study and go consistently.
  • Read my Bible more consistently than I have been. Preferably everyday. And start journaling what I learn like I used to.
  • Start keeping a consistent prayer journal.
  • Attend more events at my church. I love my church, and I love going on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, but I can go to the random events they host :) I want to get plugged in more.
  • LOVE JESUS. TRUST JESUS. SERVE JESUS. :)

Blog:

  • Blog more consistently and publish 3ish posts a week. (Unless I seriously have a test in every class that week…. School has to come before blog, unfortunately.)
  • Start offering sponsorships (beyond button swapping).
  • Grow my social media presence.
  • Celebrate one year of blogging. September 14th!! It’s coming up quick!
  • Save up and buy a unique theme for CWK.

I think that’s about it!! I’m excited to start working towards these goals. Sophomore year is probably going to fly by as fast as freshman year did, and so I want to make the most of every minute!!

To my fellow students: What are some of your school year goals? Share them in the comments below :)

Kara, these are such great goals! Good luck with getting all moved in next Thursday! It’s so weird being out of school. When August rolls around, I am seriously jealous of everyone going back to school. I wish you the best. xo
